The university reserves the right to communicate with parents at any time deemed necessary in cases involving alcohol use/abuse by students under the age of 21 years. However, parents will be called when a student endangers him/herself and/or others, is arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, or is responsible for property damage while under the influence of alcohol. The first parent contact will be to discuss the severity of the offense/sanction(s). The second offense notification will be to inform parents that subsequent violations may result in a student’s suspension from the university.
